Nestled into the Lombardy mountains, in direct contact with the changing seasons, this penthouse apartment was conceived as a family haven for a young couple of entrepreneurs. Large sliding glass doors lead onto a garden terrace that includes seating around a brazier in weathering steel.
In compliance with the clients’ wishes, Pelizzari Studio arranged the spaces so that the areas used most frequently, like the living room and the master bedroom, face directly onto the terrace, to best experience the various phases of natural light.
Sophisticated marble flooring in the living areas and bathrooms contrasts with the softer surfaces chosen for the dressing rooms and bedrooms, including carpeting and high-grade oak.
A careful balance between contemporary pieces expressly designed by Studio Pelizzari and iconic furnishings like the white leather Eames chair, perfectly suited to the reading area, creates a mood of relaxed spaciousness.
Unique and visionary pieces conceived expressly for the project include an irregularly shaped table in eucalyptus and a suspended sideboard in the dining room, one door of which is in etched brass.
Everywhere we are surprised by works of contemporary art, including sculptures by Stefano Bombardieri and photography by Filippo Minelli.
The sand-colored walls are occasionally interrupted by tall woodwork in marsh green or graphite gray.
Inspirational forms conduct dialogues with unusual sinuous objects, like the futuristic brass and steel suspension lamp in the entry, by Gallotti&Radice, and the luminaire over the dining room table by Pelizzari Design.
At the ground floor, a home gym and spa looks onto a garage that shares the same luminous sculptural walls. The overall effect is a harmonious synthesis of functionality and aesthetics, enhanced by bespoke detailing that perfectly matches the clients’ chic and elegant lifestyle.
